A magazine created for the Hanze University. Who am I, what am I doing, how do I see my future? All featured in a spectacular light shining little magazine I personally signed! Ooh yeah!
FunkiMag asked me to write a report about the usability of FunkiMag.nl, a music and lifestyle blog. FunkiMag wanted more people to return to the site and that they would click through to other articles after they've read one when they enter the site. I made two redesigns to test the usability on an eye tracker from Tobii. Most testers preferred my redesigns to the original website.
Changes that I made include an article index next to the article a visitor is reading (third screenshot). This should help to get more clickthroughs, as the test results showed that the visitor sees that index on the right and is choosing another article quicker than when the user had to go back to the homepage. Giving the social media icons their own place on the page helped to make them easier to find and get more followers. Using the social media actively when new articles were published helped to get more visitors.
